This weeks free access video is of Annmarie Gianni’s presentation.
I really enjoyed Annmarie’s video. She talked about natural skin care. I appreciate the fact that as a raw foodist she understands about the nutritional aspects of skin care- it isn’t all about what you put on your skin- what you put in your body makes a difference. She took questions from the audience which I enjoyed. Her stance on sunscreen is inline with my beliefs as well. We don’t use a lot of sunscreen here- what we do use is a all natural sunscreen I get from my health food store and I use it sparingly. My kids swim daily and I use it maybe a couple of times a week. I learned many things that I didn’t know- like about flower water and how it is good for your skin. I am going to be looking into making those very soon. You won’t want to miss this video! (more…)
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Jay and Linda Kordich at the Vegan Conference I spoke and cooked at in June. I missed Jay’s presentation and I am anxiously waiting for my copy of the dvds from the conference so I can see it- from what I hear it was amazing. I didn’t doubt that it would be. I had gotten to know Jay and Linda on Facebook. They were both so encouraging to me- as I was preparing for my first ever speaking engagement! I will never forget their encouragement and support.
Yummy crackers! Crispy, crunchy raw crackers! Thanks to Abeba’s Absolutely Abeba’s Krazy Kracker recipes you can have just that!
Our favorite so far is the bbq chips. I am going to post a video below showing the crackers I got started- but I am only showing you this to show you how not to make them- I spooned them onto the teflexx sheet and then spread them around a bit. Instead just take your spoon and drop the batter onto the tray and leave it. You will understand what I mean when you watch the video. I fit 36 crackers on 1 dehydrator tray.
By the way I said in the video that the recipe made more batter than expected- but it was because I was spreading out my batter- and using less than I should have. (more…)
