Most of all they inspired me to learn more. I think that is key to a good presentation. You will not want to miss this video- and lucky you… it will be up until October 27! I love Rhio. She spoke on Genetically Engineered Foods. A great topic and I learned alot. I believe that we need to start growing more and more of our food and we need to start standing up against this travesty that is happening in our country. The more we grow our own and the less we buy genetically engineered food someone should get the hint. It is about money.
Rhio wrote Hooked on Raw and has a wonderful dvd called What’s Not Cooking in Rhio’s Kitchen. Rhio’s video will be up until 10/13/2010 Midnight. (more…)

Baby Greens- A live-Food Approach for Children of All Ages by Michaela Lynn and Michael Chrisemer, N.C. It is published by Frog, Ltd and distributed by North Atlantic Books.
From the back cover:
” Baby Greens is a lively mix of nutrition education, philosophy, recipes, and activities for enhancing the relationship between parents, children, and their food. In addition, Baby Greens offers essays on the holistic approach to pregnancy, breastfeeding, extended breastfeeding, weaning, food experimentation, and play.”
I enjoyed this book and learned a lot. I wish I had this book when my last child was a baby. I am excited though- the recipes for babies and toddlers I think will be enjoyed by my youngest 2- ages 4 and 6. I got some ideas for the older kids too. (more…)

I absolutely love Markus’s Free Food and Medicine DVD set. I have watched it several times over the last few months and learned so much about wild edibles that for a couple of months (late Spring, Early Summer) I didn’t have to buy any greens for our smoothies. I had enough wild edibles on my property to make our smoothies every day- I even had leftovers which I dehydrated and made into powder for future smoothies.
Like the DVD’s I learned a lot from the book. I enjoy Markus’s style. He is down to earth and he believes that you don’t have to break the bank to live this lifestyle- something I believe firmly in.
I also enjoyed learning more about his transformation. This book is chock full of information. I know I will be referring to it again. (more…)
