This week I listened to the interview with Angela Stokes-Monarch. The conversation was on a variety of subjects. Angela spoke on relationships, her journey, emotions and eating, and more. I really enjoyed the interview. Angela released 160 lbs by going raw. I am excited to re-read Angela’s ebook Raw Emotions. Angela talks about compulsive overeating in her books and going through the steps to overcome this. I so appreciated her taking on this subject. I really appreciated her thoughts on relationship and loving and honoring her man! I have been married for almost 21 years and it is a good reminder. (more…)
Yesterday while folding laundry I listened to 2 interviews. These interviews were so good that I am going to listen to them again with my journal with me so I can take notes. The first interview I listened to was of Victoria Boutenko. We all know who Victoria is.. The green smoothie queen. I have been reading Victoria’s books since 2005. We started drinking green smoothies back then- I can’t believe we have been drinking green smoothies for 5 years! Anyway, this interview is wonderful. She talks about making that transition. How it changed their family life. How she learned to communicate with her children better. How to get your kids excited about eating a raw food diet. I learned so much! (more…)
So this week I listened to a couple of the interviews. I am so excited about the Raw Mom Summit. I have learned so much and have had much of my own beliefs confirmed by what I have heard.
The first one I listened to was with Katrina Rainoshek- she and her husband founded Juice Feasting the website. I was excited to hear her testimony as I am embarking on a juice feast. I love hearing how these “famous” people in the raw food world live their real lives. I am hearing over and over- “you need to follow what works best for you.” Katrina did 84 days of juice feasting before conceiving their child. It cleansed and fed her body to prepare for the conception, I think that is just awesome- to be so willing to prepare her body for such a wonderful time in their lives. One thing that I learned from Katrina is that she used a Vitamix to make her juice. I have been doing the same thing- but thinking I needed to get a better juicer. Nope, she confirmed that what I was doing was perfectly fine and time saving as well! (more…)
Have you heard of The Raw Mom Summit? It was created by Shannon “Shakaya Breeze” Leone and Tera Warner. They brought together an amazing assortment inspirational health leaders and conducted very informative interviews with each one. What I liked was that it was a mixture of learning more about health, nutrition and the raw food diet with a healthy dose of learning more about how to be a great mom and raise healthy kids- not just physically healthy but emotionally healthy as well. Today I listened to an interview with Karen Ranzi- Karen wrote the book Creating Healthy Children (a book I will be reviewing this month). Karen spoke on attachment parenting and the raw food diet. I learned a great deal and now can’t wait to read her book. I have a 6 year old struggling with attachment issues. I learned a lot from this 1 hour interview. I also listened to an interview with Lori Painter. Lori is a homeschooling mom like me. Lori is one of my facebook friends and I enjoyed learning more about her journey and how she helped her children make the transition to a raw food diet. I have taught my children to be very self sufficient but through this interview I realized that I haven’t been getting my kids involved in the raw food kitchen as much as I should be. (more…)
