Bosch Universal Mixer

I was so excited to get an email from Pleasant Hill Grain Company that they were going to send me a Bosch Universal mixer to review.. How cool is that? I had a Bosch 9 years ago. The one with the blender on it. I loved it. Then my husband started his own business and we sold off anything of value. I haven’t made homemade bread on a regular basis since then.
I had heard that this newer version is even better- a more powerful motor than the one I had 9 years ago. So I was excited to give this one a try. I made bread last week and was excited to find that it did indeed have more power. It even has a pulse button!

This new model has suction feet so it stays in one place while kneading. In less than 10 minutes I have 5 loaves worth of whole wheat bread kneaded and in the pan. Sponging takes 20 minutes but I can clean the kitchen or check email while it does it stuff. Actual working time is about 10 minutes.
I took pictures of every step of the way so you could see how easy it is. I did grind some flour first- I didn’t get a picture of that. The 2nd picture is of the sponge- the yeast is getting all bubbly.

The 3rd picture is the dough after it had kneaded for 2 minutes.

This is the dough after it had kneaded for 6 minutes.

Here are the loaves after I had shaped them.

Here is the bread after it had risen.

Just finished baking.. It smells good in here.

Finished bread. A loaf and a half is gone already. The family loved it!
I love the ease of making bread with the Bosch. I also like the contemporary design of the new model. I can’t say enough good things about Pleasant Hill Grain Company. Not just based on my own experience but I asked around. I have heard nothing but good things. Not to mention they carry everything. If you are a foodie this place is the best.
They have some combo specials when you order the Bosch with attachments or with a Nutrimill Grain Mill click HERE to check those out. They also have free shipping on orders over $99.
Stay tuned. I plan on do a video review very soon. Please check out all of the great links I used through out the review. You will not be disappointed in ordering from Pleasant Hill Grain Company. Not one person I have talked to had anything bad to say about this company. It appears to me that they are concerned with only selling items that they feel are of the best quality
