Absolutely Abeba’s Lip Smackin’ Favorites
About Me Welcome to Vegan Family Style. My name is Debra: wife for 20 years to one talented, amazing man, mother of 7 creative children (6 by birth and 1 loved and cherished as much as if she were our own), and chef specializing in vegan and raw vegan cuisine. Having recently lost 100 lbs I understand the struggle to attain health. My heart especially goes out to moms like me. Mothers tend to put others before their own health. We need to be at our peak health so that we can be the best version of ourselves. I want to help others to attain the health they need to live a vibrant, joyful life.

Another great book by Angela Elliott.
From her website:

  • Are you looking for yummy, easy ways to add nutrients into your diet?
  • Do you always drink orange juice at home yet crave berry-licious cocktails?
  • Do you think you need fancy kitchen equipment to make the most scrumptious drinks at home?
  • If you answered “yes” to just one of the above, A Diva’s Guide to Juices & Cocktails is what you need.

In A Diva’s Guide to Juices & Cocktails, Angela Elliott provides nutritious, refreshing recipes for more than twenty juices and cocktails as well as instructions to whip up some succulent nut milks so that you can replace dairy and the highly allergenic, soy milk with much healtier nut milks! Discover the joys of juicing and reap the health benefits of drinking fresh juice often! (more…)

Holiday Fare by Angela Elliott

A great ebook by Angela Elliott. Angela is an amazing person. I am honored to have met her and consider her a friend! She was so gracious enough to contribute recipes to my ebook. She was so encouraging of me in the assembling of my cookbook and preparing to do my first presentation. I will be forever grateful to her for that.
Angela’s recipes are delicious. This ebook is a welcome addition to any vegan’s library- raw or not! Last year was my first raw holiday. All I had was a raw sweet potato casserole and a couple of raw pies. This year I will be ready with all of these great recipes! (more…)

Raw Food, Fast Food by Philip McCluskey

Raw Food, Fast Food by Philip McCluskey is a must have for the busy raw foodist! From the introduction:
“Part of what I’ve come to love so much about the raw lifestyle is it’s simplicity. Even though I still found myself occasionally daunted when I have friends and family to feed: the thought of devoting more than half an hour in the kitchen makes me want to head for the door! So I’ve challenged myself to come up with easy, fast, nutritious and delicious recipes for EVERYONE to make in about 10 minutes or less, and with nothing more than a basic blender. Otherwise, you can consider this a “no tools required,” book.”
That is awesome. Quick, easy, and no tools required other than a basic blender! So many people I talk to tell me that they can’t afford to live this way because- no high speed blender, no dehydrator, etc… Now there are no excuses. Just get this book! It will get you started. From here you can experiment on your own.
Philip lost over 200 lbs following a raw food diet and has maintained that weight loss. He is a true inspiration! (more…)
