Winter Warming Diet by Tonya Kay and Joanna Steven
Posted by admin on 12 12th, 2010

This
ebook is not what I expected. I am familiar with
Tonya Kay- she has been a raw vegan for 8 years. I was intrigued just because she was one of the authors. I love reading about others who have been living this lifestyle successfully for much longer than me. The
ebook is co-authored by
Joanna Steven.
The
ebook covers 28 days of Tonya’s life. She shares what she has eaten and drank for the day- the exact amounts. Each day also included a nutritional analysis of the foods eaten for the day. Calories and nutrients. That is very cool. To see first hand the nutrients in what we are eating on a daily basis if we are following a similar diet. Tonya also shares her activity for each day as well.
There are also articles through out the book- leafy greens, nuts, questions and answers and more.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the nutrient content in what they are eating. The only thing I felt the book was lacking was actual recipes. Several things dishes were mentioned that I would have loved to have the recipes for. That said, I still think it is a
very informative book and worth having in your library.

Totally Vegetarian By Toni Fiore
Posted by admin on 12 5th, 2010

This is not a vegan cookbook but it has some amazing vegan recipes in it. Many of the vegetarian recipes could be “veganized” as well. Doesn’t the pizza on the cover look delicious!? Some Daiya cheese could make it a vegan pizza. Yum! It has a very thorough chapter on stocking your kitchen and pantry. This book will give you many ideas for this holiday season.
If you have family members who are looking to reduce their meat intake but aren’t ready to give up dairy- this book would make a great gift.
Totally Vegetarian is written by
Toni Fiore and published by
