I am so excited to share with you this amazing new kitchen tool. It is called the tofu xpress and as the name implies it presses out the water from your tofu.You can also use it to press water out of other foods like frozen spinach. I used it for that just the other day and it worked wonderfully. No more messy kitchen towels- stained green.
The inventor is the kindest person. Marie checked out my blog and found that I made homemade tofu so she sent along a lighter weight spring that is not available yet to the public- but it will soon. I have used it with extra firm tofu and the stronger spring and the tofu after pressing was so dense and meaty-without having to freeze it. My husband loved the resulting tofu. The picture here is the lighter spring pressing some homemade tofu. I love this gadget, I use it daily. If you use tofu daily you have to have this gadget.
