Chico Bag
I am so excited about this bag from Chicobags. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. I get more comments on this bag than any other bag I have used. I have it clipped on my purse. I was recently at the used bookstore. She was reaching for a bag, I said “Don’t bother, I have a neat bag right here. Look at this!” I unclick it and pull the bag out of the little carrying sack (which is attached to the bag on the inside). She was amazed. “Wow!” she said. I told her that it was made of 7 recycled water bottles. Double wow! I told her where to go to order some for herself and put my books inside the bag and off I went.. This has happened at the hardware store, the thrift store, the post office.. All have the same response.. “What a great bag!”. I wish I had business cards with the website printed on it- I would give them out every single time someone commented on the bag. I have seen them at Whole Foods- I plan on getting several more. Then I can attach them to my purse- as many as I need for the shopping I am doing. They will be right there- I would never forget them at home or leave them in the car. They have several styles and many colors to choose from.
This is a company who is concerned about our environment and using resources that are otherwise just filling our landfills. I am not good about recycling- I am getting better and want to do better but I have a ways to go. One way I do recycle is buying from thrift stores used rather than new. I have quite the collection of canvas bags for grocery shopping. I do keep them in the car . Of course the kids have to be reminded to put them back in the car after we unload the groceries. But I am also the mother of 6 with another teen here that we are borrowing from her dad :-) so that is 7 kids, a home business, homeschool etc.. I am busy. So sometimes I get in the groove of hitting all of my stores on errand day and I just forget my bags in the car. This chico bag has saved me every time. I just unclip it and pull out the bag and voila! I have a bag ready. When I get to the car I transfer the items from the chicobag to my canvas bags and I am ready to go again.
