When I went to my raw food class earlier this month I mentioned to the teacher that it was a shame that there wasn’t a physical raw food magazine. She said happily- “But there is!” She ran to the other room and popped back in with this magazine in her hands.. Purely Delicious.. A beautiful magazine for sure. I flipped through the magazine. Recipes, Q & A’s, interviews with well known raw foodies.. Yay!
Rebecca was happy to send me a few issues so I could read them for myself.. Of course I have to share with you what I thought!
So I already mentioned- it is a beautiful magazine. The pictures are outstanding. I love their philosophy of meeting you where you are in YOUR raw food journey. So they have a Q&A section to answer your questions and a Raw 101 section (knowledge is power) for those young in their journey. Articles and interviews with seasoned raw foodies that will appeal to the young and seasoned raw foodist. Plenty of recipes for all to enjoy!
They even have a Green Mustache Kids Club for the kiddos, a Seasonal Eating column and Fit tips. The Winter 2009 issue has articles dealing with cravings and holiday blues that are very good.
Subscription price is $25 per year for 4 beautiful issues. All of you raw foodies out there- we need to support Purely Delicious. Raw food magazines need to be just as popular as Veg News or Vegetarian Times- it will only get popular if we subscribe and tell people about it.

link to a radio interview with Rebecca Carlson the publisher of Purely Delicious. It was supposed to be a business interview but it turned into a Raw 101 with the interviewer and her viewers. It is 45 minutes long and great for those just beginning on the raw food journey.
