Raw Reform Recipe Ebook by Angela Stokes Monarch

Real Fast Food-
Angela talks about how in the beginning of our raw food journey we tend to do a lot of heavier foods. A lot of replica meals- raw pizza and burgers for example. After a while we tent to gravitate towards lighter foods- fast foods: fresh fruits and veggies, juices and smoothies, a handful of raw nuts. This is where I am now. I start my day with a smoothie or raw shake and then I tend to nibble through out the day on fresh fruit and veggies, marinated veggies, nuts that I have sprouted and then dehydrated with a bit of sea salt. Nothing really heavy, I find I am just not very hungry after my big smoothie in the morning.
So the recipes in this book are pretty simple and are also generally good for an anti- candida diet or those who are hypothyroid.
Combining-
Angela tried to focus on recipes that are well combined in terms of general food combining rules for good digestion. She says (and I agree) that there is always a little lee-way possible when combining raw foods that there is with cooked foods.
Unique Umeboshi -
Angela talks about how this is an important condiment to use in your diet..
Sweet Temptations-
Angela does include some generic sweet recipes int his book but has tried as much as possible to avoid intense raw sweeteners such as figs, dates, agave syrup, honey and maple syrup as these can potentially trigger overeating responses due to their concentrated sweetness. She talks a bit about food triggers and encourages us to be honest with ourselves (about what triggers overeating for us) and to put our recovery first. She covers stevia – an herb and wonderful sweetener- it is a great alternative..
Traveling and Eating Out-
Tips for stay all raw or high raw while on the road or eating in a restaurant.. It is always smart to plan ahead.
