I was finally able to pick up some of this wonderful dairy free ice cream. Alkemie is a 95% raw vegan product. The base is of cashews and coconut. I found it at Whole Foods. The above dark chocolate was my favorite. I couldn’t taste anything but chocolate. The kids loved it too! My husband was blown away that it was vegan and high raw at that!

The vanilla was very good. Very strong vanilla flavor. I could taste the cashews and coconut but the vanilla was very strong as well.

Mint chocolate chip is normally my favorite flavor. I did love Alkemie’s version but the first couple of bites I tasted cashews when all I wanted was mint chocolate chip. After a few bites all I could taste was mint chocolate chip and I was much happier.. My daughter says I am crazy and she never tasted cashew- so I guess taste buds differ. It was very good and I will buy it again.
